NEWSLETTER: Unprecedented
The Arlington GOP makes select newsletter updates available on our site to inform the broader public of our activities. If you would like to receive our regular, weekly newsletter, you may subscribe here: http://eepurl.com/izWNfI
What you accomplished over the weekend is unprecedented.
At midnight tonight, Arlington Republicans will begin the process of filing our 1st Quarter (2025) fundraising report.
Fundraising reports from a presidential year to the next — a gubernatorial year in Virginia — have historically shown a diminishment in enthusiasm by Arlington Republicans. It’s likely the case for Unit Committees across the Commonwealth.
But you stepped up, and the Arlington GOP will file a 1st Quarter (2025) fundraising report that shows INCREASED support for our efforts over last year.
When I assumed the responsibilities as Chairman of this Committee in 2023, I told you we were going to do things differently — that we were going to fight back and gain ground in Arlington.
You and I are doing that.
Of all the emails and texts from candidates and political committees you will receive today, this update is the ONLY “end of quarter” fundraising appeal that will tell you NOT to contribute.
We met and exceeded our goal over the weekend. The fundraising aspect of our work is on pause until the beginning of the 2nd Quarter.
I have, however, one more request of you — and it’s even more important than the fundraising appeals:
Arlington Republicans MUST recruit candidates for House of Delegates, County Board, and School Board this year. You and I MUST give voters a choice in November.
This Committee — under my leadership — will fully-invest in our candidates, taking the burden of fundraising off your shoulders, leaving you to attend candidate events and speak directly to voters.
I know you’re busy.
You have family and professional obligations. Perhaps you’re even concerned about targeted harassment from our “tolerant” neighbors.
You and I both know running for office as a Republican in Arlington is an uphill battle — at the moment.
But running in Arlington gives our eventual statewide nominees a boost and gives Republicans a better chance at taking back the House of Delegates.
Running for office in Arlington has ripple effects across the Commonwealth.
Candidates who step forward oftentimes have other opportunities to serve — in Republican administrations in both Richmond and Washington, D.C.
Your personal and political sacrifice will not go unnoticed.
Please give this your thoughtful consideration, then email us directly you’re interested in stepping forward as a candidate in Arlington: info (at) arlingtongop (dot) org
Thank you for everything you do for our Republican principles and candidates in Arlington and across Northern Virginia.
P.S. THANK YOU for helping the Arlington GOP accomplish something truly UNPRECEDENTED over the weekend! I sincerely appreciate your continued enthusiasm, investment, and support for our efforts.
