‘Tough News Week,’ says Arlington Dems Chair
It’s been a “tough news week” for Democrats, the Chairman of the Arlington County Democratic Committee (ACDC) said in an email to supporters this morning.
ACDC Chairman Steve Baker went on to say, “I know many of us are feeling anxious about November’s election – I find the best antidote to fear is to get out there and do something.”
A “tough news week” is an understatement, even in far-left Arlington where Joe Biden received 80.6% of the vote in the 2020 election. Democrats are in disarray.
The headlines tell the story — dozens, if not hundreds of them. CNN’s post-debate snap poll showed 67% of respondents believed Trump won the first of two debates:

The news only got worse from there. Leaked internal polling from Democrats show Trump is up in nearly a dozen swing states — including here in Virginia:

The question is, will Joe Biden survive the turmoil among the Democratic ranks ahead of their Convention in Chicago in mid-August. Who knows?
What’s clearer than ever is that Republicans across Virginia — and especially in Arlington and across Northern Virginia — must roll up our sleeves and finish the job.
These polls don’t vote — but the story they tell can help us convince our friends and neighbors to get out and support our Republican candidates up and down the ballot.
