Arlington Republicans are engaged in an aggressive, multi-cycle campaign build out our infrastructure, recruit strong candidates, and take our message to thousands of new voters.

With a full slate of candidates in 2024, we’re working tirelessly to make the case for Republican principles, stop the hemorrhaging, and take back Arlington.

On this — the 232nd day of 2024 — we’ve raised more than $25,000 from more than 240 individual contributions.

That’s more than one contribution a day at an average of ~$104 per contribution and more than 83% of the way to the goal I announced at the beginning of this year.

Already in August, we’ve raised three times more than what we raised in August 2023.

But this isn’t a fundraising email, so there’s no “hard ask” in this copy. You can relax for now. 🤣

I am incredibly grateful to each and every one of you who has rolled up your sleeves by chipping in a few bucks, taking on additional responsibilities, and for considering running for office in the future.

(Serious note: Some of you will be recruited, or gently volun-told, to run for office in 2025 and beyond…)

AG Miyares Endorses Juan Carlos Fierro

Juan Carlos Fierro, your Arlington GOP candidate for Arlington County Board, earned the endorsement of Attorney General Jason Miyares.

In his statement, AG Miyares said: 

“Juan Carlos Fierro is a father, businessman, and effective leader in Arlington. I trust that Juan Carlos will work tirelessly to lower taxes and implement policies that keep our communities safe in Arlington. I hope you will join me in supporting Juan Carlos Fierro for Arlington County Board this November.“

Arlington GOP August Meeting Update

Many of you are aware of a significant event taking place on Monday, August 26th in Arlington. I originally planned for this to be the date and time for our regular monthly membership meeting, so we could consider three proposed campaign-related expenses.

The excitement around this additional event is so high that I am going to move our membership meeting to Tuesday evening at 7pm via Zoom. Members of the Arlington GOP will receive a Zoom registration link later this week.

If you would like to become a member of the Arlington GOP, you may initiate the membership process at this August membership meeting via Zoom. Please reply to this email to receive the Zoom registration information.

Donald Trump for President: The Trump Campaign has a number of Trump Force 47 Campaign trainings and phone bank events this week. You are encouraged to sign up and participate in any of these events:

Hung Cao for Senate: Hung Cao is mounting a campaign to defeat Tim Kaine. You can get involved in his efforts here. 

Jerry Torres for Congress (VA-08): Jerry Torres, Republican nominee for U.S. Congress from Virginia’s 8th District, is taking his message to voters. Be on the lookout for a significant campaign update in a forthcoming email from us.

Arlington Republican Women’s Club: Join the Arlington Republican Women’s Club for their annual Summer Bar-B-Cue at Island Time Bar & Grill at Columbia Island Marina on Sunday, September 8th. They’re announcing a special guest speaker soon. You can read more details and secure your ticket(s) here.

Arlington-Alexandria-Falls Church Young Republicans: The AAFCYRs are planning a summer cookout of their own on Saturday, September 14th. Be on the lookout for details, and keep track of everything they’re up to on Facebook and Twitter/X.

Protect the Vote (Statewide Election Integrity Effort)

If you have been involved with Arlington Republicans for more than a few months, you know this Committee has a robust Election Integrity (EI) operation. 

The Republican National Committee, in support of statewide campaign efforts, has also established an Election Integrity operation. These overlapping efforts will coordinate when and where possible.
