The frequency of these updates depends on the number of events and headlines I can share on a weekly basis. As we move closer to Election Day, expect the frequency of these emails to increase.

I ask you to stick with me — most emails will have something for everyone. Removing yourself from distribution means you won’t hear from us again, and you’ll miss important updates in the future.

AAFCYR Summer Picnic & Annual Fundraiser

Join the Arlington Alexandria Falls Church Young Republicans for their Annual Summer Picnic & Fundraiseron Saturday, September 14th!

This year their picnic will once again be held at the Courtland Park Apartments Community Room (2500 Clarendon Blvd, Arlington, VA 22201) from 3:30 – 7:30PM.

Note that this will also include a short member meeting for any club business.

Become a Member of the Arlington GOP

More Arlington Republicans have expressed interest in joining the Arlington GOP as full or affiliate members for the remainder of the term. The term of a Committee runs from spring of one even-numbered year to the spring of the next even-numbered year.

The Arlington GOP re-constituted in March 2024 and this Committee, its leadership, and its membership will remain in place until March 2026.

While the process isn’t complicated, it is multi-step. Here is the process: 

  1. Declare your intent to join the Arlington GOP as a full or affiliate member at one Membership Meeting. If you’re interested in joining the Arlington GOP, you may declare your intent at an upcoming membership meeting.
     
  2. Between the first meeting and either of the subsequent two membership meetings, complete this membership declaration form and pay requisite dues.
     
  3. Attend either of the next two membership meetings to have your membership approved. If you declare your intent to join the Arlington GOP at the next membership meeting, you must attend either of the subsequent two membership meetings to confirm your membership.

While most Arlington GOP meetings are open to the general public, you must be a full member to vote on Committee business. On several occasions throughout the two-year term of the Committee, members will vote on approval of spending proposals, policy pronouncements, and candidate nominating processes.

Only full members may take part in these matters.

Affiliate membership does not grant voting rights in the Committee; however, paying affiliate dues does grant you a seat at the table for other Arlington GOP matters.

Other Campaign & Auxiliary Updates

Donald Trump for President: The Trump Campaign has a number of Trump Force 47 Campaign trainings and phone bank events this week. Be on the lookout for an update early next week for imore opportunities to get involved. 

Here are details for the remaining phone bank and training events this week:

  • Thursday, September 5th at 6pm: Trump Force 47 Captain Training in Fairfax. For details and to RSVP for this in-person event, click here.

Hung Cao for Senate: Hung Cao is mounting a campaign to defeat Tim Kaine. You can get involved in his efforts here. 

Jerry Torres for Congress (VA-08): Jerry Torres just re-launched his campaign site. You can check it out and get more involved in his campaign here.

Juan Carlos Fierro for County Board: Support Juan Carlos Fierro’s campaign for County Board on Wednesday, September 11th, at the Lubber Run Community Center at 7pm for for the ‘Advance Arlington’ (formerly The Committee of 100) Quiz the Candidates Night. Arlington GOP Early Voting & Election Day Activities: If you would like to assist the Arlington GOP with our Early Voting and/or Election Day activities, please sign up here. Arlington Republican Women’s Club: Join the Arlington Republican Women’s Club for their annual Summer Bar-B-Cue at Island Time Bar & Grill at Columbia Island Marina on Sunday, September 8th. They’re announcing a special guest speaker soon. You can read more details and secure your ticket(s) here.

Protect the Vote (Statewide Election Integrity Effort)


If you have been involved with Arlington Republicans for more than a few months, you know this Committee has a robust Election Integrity (EI) operation. 

The Republican National Committee, in support of statewide campaign efforts, has also established an Election Integrity operation. These overlapping efforts will coordinate when and where possible.
